Feoffment, 1678 (Ark. XV/iv/2)
This Indenture made the Eighth day of July in the Thirtieth yeare of the Raigne of our most gratious Sov-aigne Lord Charles the second (by the grace of God) of England Scotland France and Ireland King defender of the Faith &c Betweene John Waddup of Tingewick in the County of Bucks Weaver of th'one pte And John Tutchin th'elder of Tingewick aforesaid in the said County Cordwainer and William Spratley of Tingewick aforesd in the County aforesd Laborer of th'other pte Wittnesseth That the said John Waddup for and in consideracon of a marriage heretofore had and Solempnized betweene the said John Waddup and Eunice his now wife late called Eunice Spratley And for some pvision of maintenance to bee had and made for the Said Eunice in case she Survive and overlive the said John Waddup and for the setling and estating of the lands and tenements hereafter menconed in such manner as is hereinafter expressed and declared hath Given graunted enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these prsents doth give graunt enfeoffe and Confirme onto the said John Tutchin and William Spratley theire heires and assignes All That Messuage or Tenement wth the orchard or Slipe of ground thereunto belonging wth th'appten-nce scituate lying and being in Tingewick aforesaid in the said County of Bucks heretofore in the tenure or occupacon of Ralph Beeson or his assignes and now in the occupacon of the said John Waddup the messuage or Tenement now in the occupacon of Richard Mose on the East pte thereof and a Lane on the West And alsoe All those sev-all p-cells of Arrable land leyes and meadow ground to the said messuage or Tenemt belonging or app-taining scituat[sic] lying and being disp-sedly in and about the Towne feilds and p-ish of Tingewick aforesd in the said County of Bucks now likewise in the occupacon of the said John Waddup or his assignes hereafter p-ticulerly menconed containing by estimacon a Quarter of a yard land (That is to say) In the West feild One land lying on Woodfurlong the land of Nicholas Aris lying on the East p-te thereof And the p-sonage gleabe land on the West, One land lying on Brooke furlong the land of William Browne lying on Woodfurlong thereof And the land of Richard Durrant on the West, One land lying on Stump oake furlong the land of John Perkins lying on the North p-te thereof and the land of John Twitchin['wit' written over something else] on the South One land more lying upon the same furlong the land of the said John Twitchin['wit' again corrected from something else] lying on the North p-te thereof and the p-sonage gleabe land on the South In the Mill or Middle feild One land Shooting into the upper Plash the land of John Humprhis lying on the East p-te thereof and the land of John Treaves on the west, One land lying in Northam the land of Nicholas Aris lying on the East side thereof and the land of Thomas Paxton on the west, One land more lying in Northam shooting into Stone pitt Ford the land of John Twitchin[corrected to 'wit' again] lying on the ...
