WITNEY, September 7.
On the 1st instant an inquest was held at Burford, by James Westell, Esq., coroner, on the body of Geo. Pratley, aged seven years, the son of Geo. Pratley, carpenter, of Burford, who died the day previous. The boy attended the infant school, and complained to his governess of something being in his throat, and before medical assistance could be rendered he died. Mr. Cook, surgeon, gave in evidence that the child died in a fit. Verdict "Died by the visitation of God." |
