MILTON.
Sudden Death.- On Monday last an inquest was held before F. Westell, Esq., coroner, on the body of Mr. John Pratley, farmer, of this village, aged 65, who lived alone. On Saturday, about eight o'clock one of his sons went to deceased's house in consequence of seeing nothing of him, and found him in bed, undressed, dead. He appeared, as if he had died in his sleep.- Mr. Sam Haigh, surgeon, of Milton, stated that he attended deceased about two months ago for congestion of the lungs; he then complained of his head. He had no doubt deceased died from apoplexy. A verdict in accordance with the facts was returned. |
