WOODSTOCK.
DIVISION PETTY SESSIONS, Jan. 30.
[Before the Rev. W.S. Brickwell and W. Evetts, Esq.]
Juvenile Offenders.-Richd. Butler and Wm. Pratley, lads of Kidlington, were, by Mr. Thomas Henry Lovell Rowles, of that place, farmer, charged with having, on the 7th of December, broken and damaged the hurdles of the complainant. It appeared that Mr. Rowles's property had been greatly injured by bad boys, and that on the day named they broke the hurdles in question. They admitted the charge. It appears that their fathers are a disgrace to humanity, and that they spend their time in ale houses, and allow their children to run wild. Mr. Rowles said he had been greatly annoyed, but that he did not wish the boys to be sent to prison. They were cautioned and given to understand that the charge would remain against them, and that if again brought up flogging would be inflicted. |
