c.1916 This is probably Edward Pratley. The photo belonged to his daughter Ada Ethel and was taken by a photographer in the Holloway Road. We haven't been able to identify his cap badge but Edward was serving with the Labour Corps at the time of his wife's death in 1918. Edward PRATLEY

Alderman Sir Kynaston Studd yesterday discharged Edward Pratley, 55, a plumber, employed by the Engineering Department of the General Post Office, who was charged with stealing some old lead, valued at 4s 1d. the property of the Postmaster-General. The accused pleaded, "Not Guilty."
