Oxford, May 21.
On the 29th of last month three young woodcocks, almost fledged, but not able to take wing, with one of the old birds, were taken in Chace Coppice, near Whichwood Forest, in this County, by the sons of John Pratley, Keeper to his Grace the Duke of Marlborough. They were afterwards carried alive to Blenheim. |
