PRATTLEY Rebecca 27/11/1867 The Will of Rebecca Prattley late of 2 Bridge-road Battersea in the County of Surrey widow deceased who died 11/08/1865 at 13 Nottingham-place Pearson-street Kingsland-road in the County of Middlesex was proved at the Principal Registry by the oath of William Thomas Howell of 1 Bridge-road Villas Bridge-road aforesaid timber merchant the Nephew the Sole Executor. Effects under £600.  
Full Will:

This is the last Will and Testament of me Rebecca Prattley Widow now residing with Mrs Sarah Howell at Timber Merchant Battersea Bridge in the County of Surrey Widow I request that my debts and funeral and testamentary expenses may be paid by my Executor hereinafter named as soon as ***ly may be after my decease and subject thereto I give and bequeath to my sister Mary Ann Hewer Spinster now residing with me for ever the interest dividends and annual premiums to arise from the sum of five hundred and fifty pounds three pounds per ********** for which I am entitled and also to arise from any other sum or sums of stock or from any money or property of any description to which I may be entitled and have power to dispose of by this my Will And upon the decease of my said sister Mary Ann Hewer I direct that the above principal sum of stock and any other sum or sums of stock money and property whatsoever belonging to me as aforesaid shall be applied and disposed of be my said Executor in manner hereinafter mentioned and I give and bequeath the same to Ann **** I direct Ann to sell and transfer the same or such part thereof as at shall think proper for the purposes of this my Will I give to the following relatives of my late sister Mrs Elizabeth Goodwin namely John Goodwin nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence Mrs Elizabeth **** nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence and Mrs Caroline Holland nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence each To the following relations of my sister the said Mrs Sarah Howell namely Ann Howell nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence William Thomas Howell nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence Mrs Mary Eaton nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence and Henry Jeremiah Howell nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence And to the following relatives of my sister Mrs Ann Ashfield Widow namely Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Church nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence Mrs Ann Cole nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence and Mrs Jane Spring nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence each which several legacies I request may be paid as soon as namely may be after the decease of my said sister Mary Ann Hewer I appoint my said nephew William Thomas Howell Executor thereof And I give to him the sum of twenty guineas free from legacy duty as a request for his trouble in performing the trusts and bequests of this my Will and in addition to that before mentioned legacy of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings and six pence All the residue and remainder of my stock funds monies and property of whatever fund I give and bequeath unto and equally between my said sisters Sarah Howell and Ann Ashfield And hereby revoking all former Wills I declare this to be my last and only Will and Testament I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this second day of April one thousand eight hundred and sixty five - The Mark of X Rebecca Prattley - Signed be the said Testatrix Rebecca Prattley by making a mark hereto and declared by her to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request and in her presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the above written Will having been previously read over and explained to the said Testatrix Rebecca Prattley and she expressed herself satisfied therewith and appeared perfectly to understand the same and we the attesting witnesses signing and subscribing our names hereto in the presence of each other - Harry George Streater 36 Mawbey St. South Lambeth Butcher - Elizabeth Ann Streater his wife -

Proved at London 27th Novr 1867 by the Oath of William Thomas Howell the nephew (son of Testatrix's Sister Sarah Howell) the Sole Executor to whom Admon was granted.
