Jackson's Oxfordshire Journal 15 Jun 1830 [p.3, col.b] |
OXFORD,
SATURDAY, June 5.
The following inquests have been taken before Mr. J. Westell, one of the coroners for this county:- On Friday the 28th ult. at Crawley, on the body of a male illegitimate child, 9 weeks old, whom the mother (Elizabeth Prattley) found dead in the bed the previous morning. The evidence adduced afforded no grounds for presuming any improper treatment on the part of the mother, who, on the contrary, had applied for medical aid for it a short time before its death. Verdict, died by the visitation of God. |
