I ALBAN JOSEPH of Worthing in the county of Sussex Builder and Decorator hereby revoke all former testamentary instruments made by me and declare this to be my last will

1. I appoint James William Lindley of Worthing aforesaid Solicitors clerk and Walter Herbert Methold of 16 Westcourt Road Worthing aforesaid Insurance agent (hereinafter called "my trustees") to be the EXECUTORS and trustees of this my will and I give to each of them who shall prove this my will and accept the trusteeship thereof a legacy of five pounds free of duty

2. I bequeath to my trustees the goodwill of my trade or business of a builder and decorator and the stock in trade machinery plant and effects employed therein or belonging thereto together with all my interest in any land or buildings on which at my death the said business shall be carried on or which shall then be used for the purposes thereof and the benefit of all contracts subsisting in respect of the said business and all book debts and moneys due to me in respect thereof at my death subject to and charged with the payment of all debts and liabilities due or subsisting in respect of the said business at my death and I direct that until my son Alban Gordon Pratley shall attain the age of twenty one years or die under that age my trustees shall carry on the said business and shall pay out of the profits thereof to my son Arthur John Pratley the sum of ten shillings in every week and shall so long as they shall carry on the said business under the directions hereinbefore contained be entitled to employ therein such part of my estate (including the property of the said business) as they shall think proper and also to employ therein the said Alban Gordon Charles Pratley or any other son of mine or any other person or persons as servants or assistants in the said business and to pay to them out of the receipts of the said business such salaries or wages as my trustees think fit and my trustees shall be fully indemnified out of the property bequeathed by this second clause of my will and all property at any time representing the same and also out of my residuary estate in respect of any loss arising in relation to the said business while carried on by them as aforesaid And I declare that if and when my said son Alban Gordon Charles Pratley shall attain the age of twenty one years my trustees shall transfer to him for his absolute benefit the said business and all the assets and property then employed in or belonging to the said business or used for the purpose there of upon his first entering into a proper bond or covenant under seal at the expense of my estate with my trustees and to their satisfaction for securing the payment by him the said Alban Gordon Charles Pratley and all persons claiming under him to the said Arthur John Pratley of the sum of ten shillings in every week from the time when the said Alban Gordon Charles Pratley shall attain the age of twenty one years until the said Arthur John Pratley shall attain that age and I declare that the profits made during the carrying on of the said business by my trustee under the powers conferred by this second clause of my will shall after payment of the said weekly sum of ten shillings hereinbefore made payable to my said son Arthur John Pratley during such carrying on be held by my trustees upon the like trusts as are hereinafter declared concerning my residuary estate and that if the said Alban Gordon Charles Pratley shall die under the age of twenty one years the said business and all the assets and property thereof as they exist at the time of his death under such age shall fall into and form part of my residuary estate

3. I bequeath to the said Alban Gordon Charles Pratley if and when he shall attain the age of twenty one years a legacy of one hundred pounds in addition to all other benefits given to him by this my will

4. I give all my property not otherwise disposed of by this my will to my trustee upon trust to sell and call in the same with power to postpone such sale and calling in for so long as they shall think proper without being responsible for loss the income of the unsold part thereof for the time being to go and be applied in the same manner as if it were income of the proceeds of sale and calling in thereof and I direct that my trustees shall out of the proceeds of such sale and calling in and out of my ready money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts (other than debts due or subsisting in respect of the said business at my death) and the legacies given by this my will or any codicil thereto and all moneys which my trustees require out of my residuary estate for the purpose of carrying on the said business and shall invest the residue of the said proceeds and ready money in their names in any investments for the time being representing the same In trust for all or any my children or child (by any marriage of mine) other than my said son Alban Gordon Charles Pratley who being male attain the age of twenty one years or being female attain that age or marry and if more than one in equal shares

5. I empower my trustees to manage repair insure let or demise from year to year or for any term not exceeding seven years at the best rent that can reasonably be obtained and deal and arrange with the tenants or any of my residuary real or leasehold property until the same shall be sold with the same uncontrolled discretion as if my trustees were absolute beneficial owners thereof and my trustees may out of the income or capital of my residuary estate raise and pay any money required to be paid on the exercise of the powers conferred by this clause and in the opinion of my trustees properly payable out of capital or income as the case may be

6. My trustees may appropriate any part of my residuary estate (whether real or personal) in its then actual condition or state of investment in or towards satisfaction of any share in my residuary estate with power for that purpose conclusively to determine the value of any property for the time being subject to the trusts of this my will or any interest therein Provided always and I declare that any property appropriated under this present power in satisfaction of any share not absolutely vested in possession and immediately payable or transferable shall notwithstanding such appropriation remain subject to the trusts and powers of sale and conversion and investment and varying investments and management and leasing until sale herein declared and contained concerning my residuary estate or such of the same as may be applicable thereto

7. In this my will where the context admits the expression "my trustees" shall include the trustees or trustee for the time being hereof IN WITNESS whereof I the said Alban Pratley have to each sheet of this my will contained in this and the preceding sheet of paper set my had this twenty fourth day of November one thousand nine hundred and twenty six - ALBAN PRATLEY - Signed by the above named testator Alban Pratley as his last will in the presence of us both present at the same time who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses GEO E EVANS F PENNINGTON clerks to Messrs Verrall & Son Solicitors Worthing
