LEAFIELD.
Alleged Assault.-William Pratley, of Wychwood, was charged by James Pratley, of Leafield, with assaulting him on the 30th ult.- From the evidence of complainant, it appears that on the day named he was crossing Cornbury Park in the direction of Charlbury, when the defendant came up and told him to go back as it was no road; he would not, however, when defendant got hold of him and struck him in the chest.- Defendant denied that he ever struck him, but admitted that he got hold of him by the collar and turned him back, as he had been authorized to turn all back who came that way.- The Bench dismissed the case. |
