Full Will: |
This is the last Will and Testament of James Pratley Farm Bailiff Lodge Farm Ramsden in the County of Oxford I appoint my son John William Pratley Sole Executor of this my hereinafter recited Will I give devise and bequeath unto my son John William Pratley hereinafter called my Executor all my estate and effects whatsoever wheresoever nature or quality soever both real and personal upon trust to apply the same as hereafter directed first I direct that my said executor shall immediately or as soon as conveniently may after my death out of and from the ready money of which I shall then be possessed pay my funeral expenses and just debts and after answering those purposes I give the residue of the said ready money unto my said son John William Pratley and my daughter Harriett in equal shares share and share alike in recognition of their services to me and I give my household furniture and effects unto my wife absolutely As to my real estate the cottage and lands situate at Ramsden I direct my executor to pay the rents and produce thereof to my wife for her maintenance for her life and immediately after her decease to sell the same and convert it into money and pay the same to all my children James Annie Harriett Jane and John William in equal shares share and share alike but my wife shall have the option of agreeing with my said children to sell the said real estate the cottage and lands situate at Ramsden in her lifetime when the proceeds and principal shall be distributed between all my said children as directed provided they can all so agree with my wife for that purpose in which case I trust they my children will then jointly and severally maintain and support my wife voluntary lastly I revoke all former Wills and documents by me made and do declare this to be the last and only true Will written upon this one sheet of paper As witness the mark of my hand this fifteenth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and ninety five
