George Pratley, of Ramsden, was summoned for not paying a special expense Rate, under the Public Health Act for the parish of Ramsden, made on the 2nd of August amounting to 6s.
William Wilkins, the assistant overseer for Ramsden, appeared and produced his rate book, but in consequence of there being the figures 19 instead of 9, the book did not correspond with the valuation list. The summons was dismissed, and Mr. Wilkins was ordered to pay the costs.
The Rev. R.L. Baker retired from the Bench during the hearing of this case. |

George Pratley, of Ramsden, was summoned for non-payment of a special expenses rate under the Health Act amounting to 8s. 7d.
Charles Wilkins, assistant overseer for Ramsden, deposed to demanding the rate on the 10th August, and having called once since, but defendant refused to pay on both occasions.
Defendant said he should not pay.
A distress warrant was issued. |

Full Will: |
This is the last Will and Testament of me George Pratley now residing at Chase Woods Nursery in the Parish of Crawley in the County of Oxfordshire made this the Seventeenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and ninety nine I hereby revoke all Wills heretofore made by me Whereof I appoint my brother Charles Pratley Florist now residing at Lower Edmonton in the County of Middlsex and John Pratley Florist now residing at Chase Woods Nursery in the Parish of Crawley I the County of Oxfordshire to be my Executors I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid as soon as convenient after my decease I give and bequeath the sum of Twenty pounds to my Son Thomas Pratley and also to my Son James Pratley Twenty pounds also to my daughter Elizabeth Jane Pratley the sum of Twenty five pounds I give and bequeath all the money I possess at the time of my decease to be equally divided among my two Sons Frank Pratley and George Pratley with the exception of the above mentioned Legacies Witness my hand this Seventeenth day of April in the year of our lord One thousand eight hundred and ninety nine
